Analytic Geometry week of 4/13/15
This week, we'll reveiw circles that we leearned before spring break, learn about parabola equations, analyzing them, graphing them, and writing equations for them, and then start to review fir the unit 6 test, which is next Tuesday, 4/21/15. The schedule this week should go:
Mon 4/13 - Circles Review
Tues 4/14 - Parts of a Parabola & Graphing
Wed 4/15 - Writing Equations of a Parabola from a graph or from given information
Thurs 4/16 - more, because that was a lot!
Fri 4/17 - Converting forms of Parabolas and Circles
As always, see the Class Notes & Handouts tab for specific copies of anything from class!

Analytic Geometry week of 3/30/15
This week, we'll finish up Unit 5 - Quadratics, and introduce Unit 6 - Modeling Geometry. Monday will be more test review, Tuesday will be Unit 5 test. Wednesday - Friday, we'll focus on Circles in the coordinate plane.
Mon 3/30 - More test review
Tues 3/31 - Unit 5 Test
Wed 4/1 - Solving linear & quadratic systems algebraically
Thus 4/2 - Circles in general & standard form
Fri 4/3 - More circles in general & standard form
As always, don't forget to stop by the tab "Class Notes & Handouts" for any additional copies of notes, power points, warm Ups/Closings, practice problems, or anything else you may need to check out from class!

Analytic Geometry week of 3/23/15
This week will be chock full of practice! It's the best way to learn how to do math - to keep doing it! We'll be wrapping up Unit 5 - Quadratics in preparation for the test, which is scheduled for next Tuesday, 3/31/15. The schedule this week should go something like this:
Mon 3/23 - Factoring trinomials when a is and isn't = 1, and factoring difference of squares
Tues 3/24 - Factoring out a GCF, then deciding where to go from there
Wed 3/25 - Solving quadratic equations by factoring
Thurs 3/26 - Applications of quadratics
Fri 3/27 - More applications (everyone loves to ask "when does anyone actually use this stuff?" Thursday & Friday you'll see!)
Again, the test is scheduled for next Tuesday 3/31/15, so Monday we'll be reviewing (although the study guide may be available again this Friday, as so many students requested that last unit). And as always, please refer to the tab above "Class Notes & Handouts" for any presentations, handouts, worksheets, outlines, etc. you may need an extra copy of or to refer to again from class.
